Russian Post was ranked 20th in the rating of 168 postal operators of the world published by the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The company entered the "Postal Champions" category. The UPU includes there 20 best players in the global postal industry with outstanding performance.
The ranking is based on the Integrated Postal Development Index (2IPD). The UPU analysts calculate it taking into account four parameters: reliability (delivery speed and predictability), network scale (the number of international partners and the amount of international exchange), demand (demand for the companyservices compared with the best players in the industry and the number of branches per capita) and sustainability (the ability to adapt to change).
Russian Post scored 63.6 points out of 100 possible. The first five places were taken by the post offices of Switzerland (100 points), Germany (93 points), Austria (91 points), Japan (90 points) and France (88.4 points).
In 2020 the operator delivered 1.3 bln letters and 225 mln international parcels and small packages to its customers. The safety of delivery was 99.99%,and the average delivery time was 3.3 days.
