2/ Russian Post started using natural gas-fuelled KamAZ trucks

Russian Post has purchased 190 methane-powered vehicles with a carrying capacity of 20 tons each. By now 130 trucks have been put into operation in different parts of Russia. The volume of investments amounted to 2.35 billion rubles (EUR 25,76 m). By 2025 the company plans to re-equip at least 30% of its vehicle fleet and convert 5,000 vehicles to methane.

The exhaust is completely free of soot and sulfur compounds, which reduces smoke and air pollution by 9 times. In terms of sensitivity, methane is included in the safest fourth class.
